Hagen's first.
Walter Hagen, 30 years old, and American Open Champion in 1914 and 1919, won with a total of 300 including a last round of 72.
Before the Open started, there was a long driving competition open to all - the winner was an amateur from Sussex, J Smith, who had a total of 532 yards for two drives.
Hagen was seventh with a total of 511 yards. The longest single drive was 277 yards.
