TERMS AND CONDITIONS FOR VISITOR BOOKINGS: 2025

We are delighted that you are taking the time to visit us and wish you a very warm welcome to our Club.  So that your time spent with us is enjoyable, we have produced some guidance, that we hope you find both of use and interest.  Your day should be truly memorable!

We begin with the dress code, so as to save any embarrassment for you and your fellow travellers. Please do share this information with your party.

Royal St George's is a Semi-Private Members' Club. As you would expect, it has traditional values, but we ask that you respect these values and the staff that are asked to enforce them.

Tee Time Policy

The Club operates a "full tee time" policy for visitor bookings. Therefore, if booking as a single player you will be paired, and if booking a three-ball you will likely be joined by a single player.
Those booking times are welcome to pay for the whole time so as to not be paired.

Dress Code

Golfing attire is acceptable throughout the Club until 11am, after which jacket and tie is mandatory. Ladies are asked to dress appropriately, in a fashion as to complement the dress code applying to gentlemen.

Golfing attire is allowed on the Terrace and in the Snack Bar throughout the day.

No jeans, golf shoes or trainers are permitted in the Clubhouse at any time. Golf hoodies are not acceptable either in the Clubhouse or on the course.

Gentlemen may wear tailored shorts on the course if accompanied with long socks that fold-over at the knee.

Handicap Requirements

You will be aware that handicap certification should be provided upon arrival, with the maximum handicap index of 18.4 applying to all golfers. A photograph of the document held on your phone is sufficient, as is an introductory letter from your Home Club.

Caddies

Royal St. George's is a Championship venue, and therefore a much tougher test than most golf courses. It is highly recommended that visitors enjoy our excellent caddies.  We receive many compliments regarding them, as they are knowledgeable regarding both the course and the club.  You will find that their guidance will serve you well. 

Caddies are paid on the day with cash or via card and their rates are as follows:

Monday, Tuesday & Thursday: £75 plus a tip.
A Forecaddie can be booked at £100 for the group.

Please be aware that there is a 24hr cancellation policy for all Caddie bookings.

Buggie Hire

Buggies may be hired on production of a medical certificate. They are driven by one of our caddies, for which the overleaf rates apply.

Club Hire                                                                                                                                           

Clubs are available to hire at £50 per set, per round. Available clubs for hire may be viewed by contacting the Professional Shop professional@royalstgeorges.com

Phones

The use of mobile phones is confined to the car park.  We kindly request that they not be used on the Course, in the Clubhouse or its' surrounds.

Catering

Food is available at the Club from 7:30am - 4pm daily.

Lunch can be taken either in the Dining Room until 3pm, or in the Snack Bar until 4pm.

Our Dining Room lunch is considered by many to be the finest in golf: this is available daily from 12pm - 3pm and those wishing to indulge should notify the Steward ahead of their visit.

Informal lunches can be enjoyed on the Terrace or in the Snack Bar without the need for a reservation nor a change of clothes.

During the Summer the Clubhouse closes at 7.30pm, and in the Winter at 5.30pm.

Our Terms & Conditions

Full payment of green fees is required to secure your tee time. This is fully refundable when notice of cancellation is given at least two months in advance of the date of play. Rounds will not be held as a credit under any circumstances.

The office reserves the right to alter tee times or offer a full refund if required.

Corporate Bookings

Enquiries about Group and Corporate Bookings should be made through the Office. Corporate Bookings are subject to VAT.

Liability

The Club accepts no liability for the loss or damage to property while on the Club premises.  Visitors are advised to take out appropriate 3rd party liability insurance.

This Website is provided by IntelligentGolf on behalf of Royal St Georges Golf Club. Royal St Georges Golf Club uses this website to provide online information and services, competition management and CONGU ratified handicap maintenance, for playing members of its Golf Club.

Access to this website is via Royal St Georges' Membership ID and a User managed PIN number and is limited to Golf Club Members and selected Club staff who need access for the purpose of supplying and maintaining information relative to the primary functions of the website, as stated above.

Royal St Georges Golf Club will transfer from its own membership system only those personal details relevant to Golf Club membership such that a Golf Club Member may utilise this website effectively.

Users of the website are able to specify additional personal details by accessing the 'Preferences' area under the 'My Golf' menu option. The details specified here will be used solely for the following purposes:-

1) Communication between members to facilitate the management of matches and competitions

2) Communication between Golf Club Members, Committee Members and Staff to promote accessibility and enable the effective and smooth running of the club.

3) Contact information may be passed to Royal St Georges Golf Club's membership system to maintain up to date contact information.

Cookies are used throughout this website for tracking session data, and this data is discarded automatically after you leave the website. Persistent cookies may also be used to remember your Membership ID if this option is selected by you.
